Mr. and Mrs. Travis Smith of Rome announce the engagement of their daughter, Karen Marigrace Smith, to James Franklin Yarbrough of Fyffe, Ala. 

The groom elect is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Darren Dasher of Fyffe, Ala.

Miss Smith is the granddaughter of Mrs. Ralph Smith, Rome, Mr. and Mrs. Claude Burrell of Summerville and the late Ralph Smith. She is the sister of Noel Johnson of Jacksonville, Fla., Mercy-Brian Smith of Accra, Ghana, and Hope Smith, Leah-Joy Smith, Whitney-Faith Smith, T.L.

Smith, Will Smith, JubiLee Smith, and Jesse Smith, all of Rome.

The bride-elect is a summa cum laude graduate of Shorter University where she received her Bachelor of Fine Art degree in Art and Photography.

Yarbrough is the grandson of Burma Sue LaMunyon, of Fyffe, Ala.  He is the brother of Julie West of Crossville, Ala., and Uncle to Lydia and Mylie-Kate West of Fyffe, Ala.

He is employed at Game Time in Fort Payne, Ala.  Miss Smith is the owner/operator of her photography studio, Marigrace Photography.

The wedding is planned for March 23, 2013 at the home of the bride-elect. Invitations will be sent.
