Rome Braves announce new broadcaster, new ticket manager and suite director named

Rome, GA – The Rome Braves announce that Ben Poplin will call the games in 2013 on 95.7 FM the Ridge. The broadcast will also be heard online at www.romebraves.com in addition will complement televised home games available to fans at www.milb.tv. Poplin, a recent graduate of Kennesaw State University has been the voice of the Owls baseball team for the past three seasons. He replaces the late JB Smith who passed away suddenly last October. 95.7FM reaches northwest Georgia and northeast Alabama and is owned by TTA Broadcasting and the signal covers nine counties.

Jeff Fletcher has been named as the Rome Braves Ticket Manager. Fletcher received a B.S. in Marketing from Arizona State University and worked in ticketing for the Washington Nationals organization as well as the Brevard County Manatees an affiliate of the Milwaukee Brewers.

Christina Shaw has been named as the Suite Director at State Mutual Stadium. Shaw began in the Braves organization in 2011 as an executive trainee. She is a graduate of Mercer University in Macon, GA.

Season tickets as well as six and twelve pack ticket plans are now available for the 2013 season.

The Rome Braves open the season on April 4th in Savannah. The home opener is April 6th at State Mutual Stadium versus the Savannah Sand Gnats.

I have watched Ben grow up and am so proud of him for attaining this position. He has worked long and hard to get here and we are proud to have a Roman working for the "Rome Braves".
