Mardi Gras event raises funds for AIDS Resource Council

Rome’s AIDS Resource Council will host its Mardi Gras fundraising event on Feb. 23.

The event allows area residents to enjoy New Orleans cuisine and libations alongside festive masks and beads while also supporting the ARC.

Food will include Crawfish Ettouffe, Shrimp and Grits, Chicken, Sausage, and Shrimp Jambalaya as well as cornbread. King Cake will be the featured dessert. Drinks will include Hurricane Punch, “Mild Rainstorm” Punch, iced tea, and various soft drinks.

There is a $20 suggested donations, but all donations will be accepted and appreciated. All proceeds benefit the programs and services of the AIDS Resource Council.

The Mardi Gras event takes place Feb. 23 from 7-11 p.m. at 507 East Third St.
