Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Paul Walker of Valparaiso, Fla., announce the engagement of their daughter, Allison Taylor Walker to Spencer Charles Dismuke of Rome.

The groom is the son of Janice Pursley Dismuke of Rome and Dr. William Franklin Dismuke Jr. of Rome.

Miss Walker is a 2008 graduate of Niceville High School. She graduated with honors in 2011 from the University of West Florida with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Relations. She is employed as Manager/Buyer of Luxe Apothetique boutique in Destin, Fla.

The bride-elect is the sister of Ryan Matthew Walker of Orlando, Fla., Jason Paul Walker of Valparaiso, Fla., and Sean Stephen Walker of Ocoee, Fla. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Lloyd Wohlwend of Jacksonville, Fla., and Rev. and Mrs. Ernest Dewey Walker of Valparaiso, Fla.

Dismuke is a 2005 graduate of Darlington School in Rome. He graduated in 2010 from Auburn University in Auburn, Ala., with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology. He is employed with Q-Optics in Dallas, Texas.

The groom elect is the brother of Lauren Kelley Dismuke of Atlanta. He is the grandson of Mrs. William Franklin Dismuke Sr. of Hartwell, the late Dr. William Franklin Dismuke, Sr. and the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles Henry Pursley Sr.

A spring wedding is planned at First Baptist Church in Niceville, Fla. Invitations will be sent.
