Mr. and Mrs. Sonny York of Rockmart announce the engagement of their daughter, Mary Kathryn York, to Hayden Thomas Roberson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Greg Roberson of Cedartown.

Miss York is a 2007 graduate of Rockmart High School and a 2011 graduate of the University of West Georgia with a Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood Education. She is employed at Eastside Elementary School in Rockmart.

The bride-elect is the sister of Rebecca Shelton of Rockmart and Anna Parson of Barnesville. She is the granddaughter of Ann Keller of Rockmart, Hugh York of Dublin, the late Bill Keller and the late Juanita York.

Roberson is a 2007 graduate of Cedartown High School and a 2011 graduate of Shorter University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. He is employed by the state of Georgia.

The groom-elect is the brother of Brett Roberson, Ryan McLendon and Tori Roberson, all of Cedartown. He is the grandson of Jeanette Head and Mary Roberson of Cedartown and the late Tommy Head and Dave Roberson.

The wedding ceremony is planned for April 13, 2013 at The Farm in Rome. A reception will follow. Invitations will be sent.
