Melinda F. Turner of Rome announces the engagement of her daughter, Raquel Dunnom, to Calvin Louie of Tuscaloosa Ala. The groom is the son of Betty and Jerry Louie of Tuscaloosa, Ala.

Ms. Dunnom is the mother of two daughters, Jakayla and Jakiya Winston. She is a 2005 graduate of Rome High School and a 2011 graduate from Lincoln College of Cincinnati, Ohio with a degree in Medical Administration. She is a certified nursing assistant at Northwest Georgia Right at Home healthcare.

The bride-elect is the sister of Lakesha Dunnom of Rome, Deangelo Turner of Rome and Carlos Dunnom of Rome. She is the granddaughter of Sara Turner of Kingston, Lucy Dunnom of Cincinatti, Ohio, the late Elandr Turner and the late Peter Dunnom.

The groom-elect is a 1993 graduate of Central High School. He is the owner if his own business Cal’s Janitorial and Carpet Cleaning in Tuscaloosa, Ala. He is the brother of Horace Louie of Tuscaloosa, Ala., Sean Louie of Birmingham, Ala., Stanley Louie of Kansas City, Mo., and  Delleriee Coleman of Tuscaloosa, Ala.

A wedding is set for March 30, 2013 in Tuscaloosa, with a reception to follow.
