West Rome High reunion to take place this weekend

The 1960 and 1962 state champion baseball teams from West Rome High are scheduled to have a reunion this weekend, and organizers are expecting approximately 50 individuals — which will include players, managers, spouses, and guests — to be in attendance.

Both teams were coached by Nick Hyder.

The reunion festivities will begin Friday night at the Landmark restaurant with social time from 6 to 7 p.m.

Dinner will then be served at 7:30 p.m. Saturday events will be centered around the Rome High baseball game scheduled at Legion Field at 1 p.m.
