Berry improved to 4-2 overall. Huntingdon remained winless at 0-4.
In the opener, Berry took a quick lead, fell behind, and then used two four-run innings to rally.
Trailing 2-1 in the bottom of the second, the Vikings used consecutive sacrifice flies by Holly Todd and then Jessie Washington to go up, 3-2. Four more runs crossed the plate in the fourth and the team plated another four in the sixth — which featured four doubles.
Berry’s Caillee Shamoun (2-1) worked her way out of a two-out, two-on situation to end the game as Ashlee Zachmeyer flew out to center. Shamoun went the distance and allowed seven hits four runs (two earned).
Kristen Stoll led Berry with three hits while Washington had two doubles and two runs scored. Shelby Smith also hit two doubles.
Melissa McClure (0-2) took the loss for Huntingdon and totaled 3 2-3 innings and allowed seven hits and seven runs (three earned). Lauren Welch and Zachmeyer each tallied two hits.
In the nightcap, Huntingdon used a three-run third to claim a 3-2 lead and knocked out game two starter Allie Coronado out of the game in the fourth inning. Natalie Boyd (1-0), making her pitching debut, worked around an one-out walk to escape a bases-loaded jam after she induced a Holly Ostrander flyout to center.
Boyd then scorched a game-tying RBI double to left center for her second two-base hit in as many at-bats on the afternoon. Two batters later Todd lined a tie-breaking RBI double to center to put Berry ahead, 4-3. Todd added two insurance runs in the sixth, whacking a two-triple.

Shorter wins in UNA
Invitational
The Lady Hawks ran through the UNA Invitational over the weekend, picking up six wins in three days.
Sunday saw a 5-2 victory versus Drury and a 2-0 win in the final game versus Missouri-St. Louis.
The first game had Kayla Cooper providing a pair of solo home runs as part of a three run game for the Lady Hawks lead-off hitter.
Drury got on the scoreboard first when Stacy Razo led the game off with a solo home run off of Lady Hawks starter, Kayla Byrom. Byrom settled down and struck out five Panthers over 4.1 innings.
Cooper led off Game Two with a double, scoring a few batters later on Jackie Castaneda’s RBI single.
The Lady Hawks (9-1) added another run in the second with Copper picking up the RBI on a sacrifice fly to left field to drive in Courtney Bailey.
The Tritons did not pick up their first hit until the third inning off of Bray — she scattered five hits over seven innings with striking out three.
Shorter scored two runs on seven hits.
The Lady Hawks pitching struck out 48 batters over 38 innings, giving up just six runs.
The offense scored 43 runs on 55 hits over three days.

Berry caps perfect season
The Berry College Hunt Seat team finished the season with another win and closed out its perfect season.
The final show of the season was hosted at Berry College’s Gunby Equine Center. The Vikings won the show with 41 points. The University of Alabama was second with 21 points.
The day started off with Madison Harris placing third in Open Equitation.
Autumn Clarke was the next rider for the Vikings and placed third in Intermediate Equitation.
Jumping came next with Clarke placing first in Open Over Fences and Harris placing fifth.
Intermediate Over Fences had Kristin Brennan finishing second.Novice Equitation was split into four sections due to its size. Section one had Ivey Herrington placing third and Katie Doran placing fifth.
Section two continued with Katherine Kratina earning her first blue ribbon with a first place finish and Sarah Escaro placing fifth. In third section Kacky Gianturco walked away with a win. Amanda Peterson placed third.
Novice Over Fences was split into three sections due to its size. The first section had Mallory Hammer and Rachel Shin placed first and second respectively. In section two, Jessica Tabb added to the ribbon count with a win, and Ali Jones finished in reserve. The last section had Kratina placing fifth.
Advanced Walk/Trot/Canter Kelsey Cain made her debut in this division and won her class.
The last rider of the day was Rachel LeRoy in Walk/Trot who won her class to finish the season for the Vikings.
Berry advances to postseason action with the regional show March 2nd at the Gunby Equine Center. This show is for riders who pointed out of a division this year into a higher division.
The hunt seat team will advance to Zones with a number-one ranking in the region. Individual riders will qualify for Zones if they place in the top two riders at regionals.
