Beer is a $1.3 billion business in Georgia

Georgia’s beer distributors have an annual economic impact of about $1.3 billion, according to a new report from the National Beer Wholesalers Association.

Among the states, Georgia tied with Washington and North Carolina at 10th for its economic impact of beer distributors.

The Peach State’s beer distributors directly employ 3,114 and have an impact on an additional 8,395 jobs, the report said.
