Registration for the Miracle Field baseball league through the Rome-Floyd Parks and Recreation Authority begins today and continues through March 22.

The fee is still $50 per player and scholarship opportunities are available for interested families, according to a press release from the Rome Braves today.

Micracle Field, located next to State Mutual Stadium, gives players with special needs a safe place to play using a soft artificial surface in place of grass and dirt.

On March 30 a pre-season practice will be held beginning at 10 a.m., with uniforms being distributed that day. The season will open on Tuesday, April 2 with a special Meet & Greet with members of the 2013 Rome Braves team from 5:30 to 6 p.m. with the opening games will immediately following. The season will continue every Saturday starting April 6th and ending May 18th with games at 10 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. On April 12, all of the athletes will once again be recognized on the field prior to the Rome Braves game versus the Savannah Sand Gnats at State Mutual Stadium.
