Report: 2 in jail after fight involving a broomstick

Two people were arrested after a fight at their residence early Wednesday morning, according to Floyd County Jail reports.

According to the reports:

Charles Owen Morgan, 52, of 100 E. Ninth St., Rome, hit the Lisa Marie Willim in the head and face with a broomstick, breaking her nose around 2:13 a.m.

Willim, 47, of the same address, bit and hit Morgan, the report stated.

Morgan is charged with felony aggravated battery. Willim is charged with misdemeanor battery and disorderly conduct for yelling abusive language while being treated at a local hospital for her injuries. She is also facing a probation violation.

Both remained in jail on Wednesday morning.
