The former Armuchee star, now a senior at Anderson University, suffered a potentially serious knee injury during Anderson’s 76-46 victory over Lincoln Memorial in the quarterfinals of the South Atlantic Conference tournament.
Parris is scheduled to have an MRI on Monday.
Parris, who has started 27 games this season for the Lady Trojans, played 20 minutes in the quarterfinal game before the injury. She finished 2-of-4 from 3-point range and scored six points.
Parris’ team will face Newberry today in the semifinals, which will be played at Furman University at noon.
The Anderson squad is primed for an appearance in the NCAA Division II national tournament.
The Lady Trojans (21-8) can earn an automatic bid if they win the SAC tournament this weekend. They are also in a favorable position to receive an at-large bid if they don’t win the conference tourney.
