Thurmon Morris, a member of the Rome Lions Club for 27 years, was elected to the Lions of Georgia Hall of Fame at the District Convention at the Double Tree Hilton in Marietta.

He was recognized by the District 18-A Past District Governors Association for his many years in Lionism and his service to needy persons both locally and on the state level. He has served the Rome Lions Club in all elected positions including president twice, club secretary and tail twister.

He has served Georgia Lions as as 1st vice district governor, 2nd vice district governor, director of the Georgia Lions Lighthouse Foundation, associate director of the Georgia Lions Camp for the Blind and district zone chairman.

He is currently associated with Allgood Pest Control. Morris and his wife Martha live in Rome.
