JOHNS CREEK, Ga. (AP) — Police in the Atlanta suburb of Johns Creek are seeking help from the public in identifying a suspect in the theft of several personal checks from an 89-year-old victim.

Johns Creek police said they believe the suspect gained access to the victim's residence while working as a health care provider.

Police say the suspect stole the checks sometime between Feb. 2 and Feb. 11 and has used them to make purchases at several metro-Atlanta Walmart stores, including Lilburn, Loganville, Lithonia and Rome.

Video surveillance from the stores show a white male purchasing items with the stolen checks.

Johns Creek is about 25 miles northeast of Atlanta.
