Woman charged with shoplifting, found with suspected drugs at jail

A woman accused of shop­lifting was found with suspected drugs when she was taken Thursday to the Floyd County Jail, reports state.

Shelley Samantha Lippart, 26, of 102½ Old Airport Road, is charged with possession behind the guard lines and theft by shoplifting, jail records state.

According to reports, Lippart hid merchandise on her person at about 3:50 p.m. Thursday and tried to leave a Redmond Circle business. She was taken to jail, where authorities found suspected marijuana and prescription pills on her.

Lippart remained in jail Thursday night without bond.
