What is the primary purpose of your business? Complete companion care and the education of clients with respect to the proper care of their pets.

What is the business background of the owners? After graduating from veterinary school, I worked in a mixed animal practice in Waycross, Georgia for six months. I then served two years in the veterinary corps of the U.S. Air Force. I managed a small animal clinic in Norcross, Georgia for two and a half years, then came to Rome and work at this practice and the West Rome Animal Clinic for almost two years before I purchased this practice at the East Rome Animal Clinic.

Why did you start (or purchase) this particular business? It gave me the opportunity to own a veterinary practice and to develop my style of interaction with pets and their people.

What makes your business unique? We offer compassionate care for pets and general education of pet owners.

What do you enjoy most about your chosen profession? Working with people and their animals as well as the surprises that always walk in the front door.

What has been the biggest or most interesting challenge to overcome as a small business owner? Simply the many issues associated with managing a small business while offering quality professional car for the pets.
