Berry mathematics professor and students earn accolades

ROME, Ga. – Berry College Associate Professor of Mathematics Ron Taylor was recently awarded the 2013 Southeastern Section Award for Distinguished College or University Teaching of Mathematics.

Taylor was honored at the Mathematical Association of America Conference at Winthrop University in South Carolina where Berry math majors also competed in “Math Jeopardy” winning third place. The team was comprised of Anna Chan, of Winter Garden Fla., Justin Lyle, of Rockmart, Ga., Aaron Ostrander, of Woodstock, Ga., and Milo Taylor of Decatur, Ga., all of whom are seniors.
