Three other men in the car were also seriously injured and taken to Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta. The accident occurred after police gave chase when they saw the vehicle stopped in the wrong lane.
The chase began at about 5:52 p.m. and lasted about five minutes, Clayton County Police spokesman Tim Robinson said. The truck was traveling at speeds as fast as 70 miles per hour, sometimes heading into oncoming traffic, Robinson said
