According to reports from the Floyd County Jail:
Travis Ray Campbell, 31, of 51 Old Wax Road in Aragon, was jailed on felony charges of burglary, criminal damage to property, terroristic threats and acts along with a misdemeanor of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
Campbell was alleged to have been stopped in a silver 1999 Dodge truck around 8 p.m. after 911 received a call that he was driving around the projects and talking to kids. After running him through field sobriety tests found he was intoxicated.
Police reported that once in custody and on the way to jail, Campbell threatened officers and beat on the cage in the window separating the front and back seats.
After officers stopped to handcuff him behind his back, he was transported to the jail without further incident.
Campbell was also alleged to have entered an apartment on Maple Street earlier Friday evening and destroyed several items. Police reported the cost of the damage done was estimated at $500.

While I'll let Voter answer for Voter on the "black man as president" I have my own view of it that incidentally pretty much coincides with Voter's take. And, guess what? I did vote for Obama. Certainly Rome is not the worst in Georgia. It's not even the worst in the area. Gadsden, Alabama is way up there and Macon, Georgia in high in Georgia. Gadsden and Macon goes both for crime and bad cops. I do not currently live in the CITY of Rome nor would I live in Gadsden and god forbid I ever live in Macon. Both are in the Top 100 Most Dangerous Cities in the U.S.

When you do also check out Atlanta, Cartersville, and Chattanooga on the same site. The crime rate for these cities are the same and this is were voter gets their reports on crime for the city of Rome. Had a bad day, you'll feel better when you check out the link, pretty funny.
