Anna K. Davie Principal Brant Amerman said the community ride to school is a great way to kick off Spring Break.

The ride was almost like a parade, with people waving from their porches, said TRED Executive Director Julie Smith, who helped organize the event.

“Our generation walked and rode bikes to school,” said Rome City Commissioner Harry Brock, who participated in the ride. “It’s just great to see these kids laughing, smiling and having a good time”
